Why Tummy Sleeping is Normal, Natural and Necessary

One of the most popular blog posts here has been the one about tummy sleeping Lay That Baby Down (on his tummy)!

Here are some more reasons on why it is perfectly natural.

A fetus in utero is naturally curved inward

Being supine brings on the startle reflex

Sleeping on the tummy is the most natural position where babies sleep and oxygenate much better.


Preemies are put on their tummies because they oxygenate better.

For millions of years, babies have slept on their stomachs.
